What if my candles are a gift?

Yay! Our hand-poured candles make a great gift! Orders sent as gifts will not include an invoice and can include a special note just from you – just leave one in the “additional notes” on the Shopping Cart page (before Checkout).

 

What ingredients do you use?

We thoughtfully source all of our ingredients to create safe, sustainable products. We use a soy-based, botanical wax, a premium blend of synthetic and natural fragrances, and cotton wicks. We’re proud to say our candles are vegan, cruelty-free, and phthalate-free.

 

How do I get the most out of my candle?

The first burn is the most important! You’ll want to burn your candle until the melted wax reaches the edge of the jar. Depending on the size of the jar, this can take 3-4 hours, so try to be patient!

Trim the wick to ¼ inch before burning again. Always remove the pieces of the trimmed wick from the candle.

When there’s only a ½ inch of wax left, it’s time to repurpose your candle. You can use a spoon to remove the wax and wick. (Let the candle cool first!) Wash out any excess with your favorite dish soap. A bit of rubbing alcohol on a cotton pad will remove any additional residue. Then you can reuse the jar for a potted plant, makeup brushes, or ???

 

When will I receive my order?

All of your candles will be packed and shipped either the same business day or the next business day from our Bloomington, Indiana studio. You’ll get an email notification with your packing information. If you need your order by a certain date, please email hello@juniperandjadeco.com and ask if it’s possible.
